Overview

The War is a large Armageddon's Blade map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, with an underground level and an expert difficulty rating. Its world is split into five lands: four surface countries and a cave beneath them. Four players each rule one land, and all four slots can be human-controlled. There are no teams, and every faction is random. The terrain is mostly rock, with grass, sand and snow making up much of the rest and very little water. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The lands hold ten towns, many mines, creature banks and wandering monsters, plus dwellings for dragons, an Angel, a Giant and a Devil. Nine named artifacts, including the Titan's Gladius and the Thunder Helmet, are placed alongside many random ones.
