The Ultimate Challenge is a medium 72x72 map for Restoration of Erathia, set on a level with an underground section and played at Normal difficulty. Three players take part, with only one human seat, and the Blue and Tan colors are controlled by the computer. There are no teams, and every faction is random. Terrain is mostly rock, with about a quarter water, so a boat is needed to reach some areas, and the author recommends one hero to gather resources while another guards your town. Victory comes from defeating all enemies, and you lose if you no longer hold any towns or heroes. Across the map you will meet many wandering Pikemen stacks, along with dwellings holding creatures such as Dragons, Liches, and Medusas, plus scattered artifacts, mines, and monoliths and portals.
