The Saga of Ctulu — SoD

The Saga of Ctulu is an Extra Large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles for Shadow of Death, rated Expert. As the author describes it, the story centers on a hidden monastery far below the surface, out of human reach and believed by wizards to be a sanctuary for souls. Five players start, one of whom can be human, while Green, Orange, Purple and Teal are computer-controlled. Each player fields a different town: Dungeon, Conflux, Rampart, Fortress or Necropolis, and there are no teams. Water covers nearly half the map, with dirt, subterranean and snow ground making up much of the remainder. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The Grail is placed on the map, along with 100 mines, 27 creature banks, 13 seer huts and two monoliths and portals. Wandering dragons and an Archangel roam the land.
