The Quest — RoE

The Quest is a large 108 by 108 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III, played in the Restoration of Erathia version and including an underground level. It supports five players, but only one can be human, with the other four colors computer-controlled. There are no teams. The factions are Castle for the human-side Red player, Tower for Blue, a random faction for Tan, Necropolis for Green, and Inferno for Pink. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. The author describes a turbulent Underworld and a chance to regain control of both realms. Water covers about a fifth of the map, with subterranean and rock terrain making up much of the rest. Players will find 23 towns, 79 mines, 24 random artifacts, 8 seer huts, and 15 creature banks, along with many wandering monster stacks.
