Eight players are split into seven teams, but only one player can be human. Factions include Rampart, Castle, two Inferno players, Stronghold, Tower, Conflux and Fortress. Rock covers about 40 percent of the terrain and grass about 33 percent. The map contains 14 towns and 52 mines, with wandering Rust Dragons and Champions plus artifacts like Armageddon's Blade. Victory means capturing one specific town, while losing one particular hero ends the game.
