The Odyssey — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Odyssey is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles, set on a Normal difficulty level for Restoration of Erathia. Its author describes it as a retelling of Homer's epic poem, following a Trojan War leader who has angered the gods and struggles to reach his home city of Ithaca. Seven players share the map, but only one can be human, and no teams are defined. The factions include Rampart, Castle and Tower, with one color assigned a random faction. Rock covers nearly half the terrain and water about a third, with the rest made up of grass and sand. Among the placed artifacts are the Blackshard of the Dead Knight and the Centaur's Axe, and the map holds twelve towns and fourteen heroes. Victory requires capturing a specific town, while losing a particular hero ends the game.
