The Next Face Off is a sequel to the original Face Off, set on a medium 72 by 72 underground level in Restoration of Erathia. It is built for two computer-controlled and human colors, with only one human player allowed, so the other side, Tan, is run entirely by the computer. Both colors play random factions and there are no teams. The map is mostly rock and grass, with a small amount of water and some dirt paths. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Guard monsters block the routes between the two sides, and the map holds four towns, a Grail, 26 mines, and several golem dwellings guarding key approaches. Among the placed artifacts are a full set of Legion pieces and the Shackles of War, while wandering elementals and golems add further resistance along the way.
