The Lovers is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, played at Normal difficulty on the Restoration of Erathia version. Four colours take part, with no teams, and only one human player can join while Orange, Purple and Pink are computer-controlled. Water covers about 42 percent of the surface, with dirt, grass and snow making up most of the rest. Players win by acquiring the Titan's Gladius, and they lose if a specific hero falls. The author's description frames the story around rescuing a cleric's beloved before rivals or Pink can reach them, and failing that quest ends the game. The map holds 29 towns and 11 heroes, with wandering monsters such as Master Genies and Naga Queens, plus placed artifacts including the Crown of the Supreme Magi and Dragon Scale Armor.

Author's description

Find the Titan's Gladius to win. Rescue the lover of the cleric, Adelaide, before your neighbours or the dastardly Pink. This is your quest. If you do not rescue the lover, Adelaide will lose the will to fight, and your game is over. Lose Adelaide and your game is over and the lover dies also.
