The Last Day — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Last Day is an Extra Large, 144 by 144 Shadow of Death map with underground levels, rated Expert. Eight colors take part across three teams, but only two can be human players, and the other six are computer-controlled. Red plays Stronghold, Blue plays Tower, Tan and Purple play Inferno, Green and Teal play Dungeon, and Orange and Pink play Necropolis. The premise is that evil has overrun the land and a last light army must defeat a superior enemy force. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The terrain is mostly rock, dirt, and subterranean ground, with lava and a little water. The map holds 36 towns, 109 mines, 57 creature banks, and 16 monoliths and portals, plus wandering Liches and Vampire Lords.
