The Heart Of Europe — HotA 1.6.0+
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Heart Of Europe is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map by vakacjus, made for Horn of the Abyss 1.6.0 or later and played partly on an underground level at Expert difficulty. Six players each take one of six factions: Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Fortress, Tower, and Necropolis. All six slots can be human, and there are no teams. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and the game is lost if the 112-day limit runs out. Rock covers about half the map, with water, grass, and rough ground making up most of the rest. The map holds 24 towns, 30 mines, and 111 creature banks, plus wandering Ice Elementals and Water Elementals, seer huts, and artifacts such as Angel Wings and Boots of Speed. The author suggests that diplomacy is not worth pursuing here.
