The Great Reckoning is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, built for the Restoration of Erathia version and rated Hard. It supports eight players, with four seats open to humans and the remaining four Orange, Purple, Teal and Pink controlled by the computer. Two teams are set up, and the eight factions in play are Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Tower, Fortress, Dungeon, Necropolis and Inferno. The story concerns the return of the Dharc Lords, a threat that was once turned back at great cost. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while the game is lost if time runs out after 84 days. The landscape is mostly rock and grass, with about a tenth of it water. Among the features are 22 towns, 13 heroes, 78 mines, and a set of placed artifacts that includes the Crown of the Supreme Magi. Thirty timed events are scripted into play.
