The Gauntlet — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Gauntlet is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, built for Armageddon's Blade and rated Expert. One human player can take part, facing five computer-controlled lords, and the map supports six seats in total. The opponents are split into two teams, and most factions are assigned at random, with one side fixed to Dungeon and another to Inferno. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while the game is lost if the 140-day limit runs out. Rock covers nearly half the terrain, with water, lava and rough ground making up much of the rest. The map is scattered with wandering Cerberus packs, a Red Dragon, an Arch Devil and a Necklace of Ocean Guidance, along with the Grail, 42 mines and 13 creature banks.
