An evil sorcerer plans to seize the surface world, and the players must stop him. Four colors take part, but the Red player, who is Inferno, is computer-controlled only, so up to three humans can play. The others are Rampart, Castle, and Dungeon, and there are no teams. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and the game is lost if time runs out after 336 days. Water covers about a third of the terrain. The map holds 40 mines, 22 monoliths and portals, and wandering dragons, along with placed artifacts such as Titan's Thunder and the Elixir of Life.
