The forest and the cave. — SoD

The Forest and the Cave is a medium 72x72 underground map for Shadow of Death, built around a single human player who must hunt down an intruder that has entered their lands. The map is marked as Impossible difficulty and supports two players, with the Blue side reserved for the computer and no teams set. The human player fights as a random faction, while the computer controls a Dungeon force. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Terrain is mostly grass, rock and dirt, with a small share of water. Five towns and four starting heroes are placed, and the map is scattered with wandering skeletons, a wraith, a peasant stack, many guarded dwellings, and a set of legion artifacts plus several endless gold sources.
