The Dwarven Discoveries is an extra large underground map measuring 144 by 144 tiles. Its premise concerns dwarves who vanished on a deep expedition, lured by glittering treasure, leaving only rumors of what they uncovered. Four players can compete, and all four slots can be human, split into three teams. Red and Tan have set factions, while Blue and Green are random. Rock covers almost half the terrain, with grass, snow and water making up the rest. The map holds nine towns, a single starting hero, the Grail, and placed artifacts including Armageddon's Blade. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes.
