The Civil War — SoD

The Civil War is a large surface map for Shadow of Death, measuring 108 by 108 with no underground level, and it is set at Expert difficulty. Seven colors take part, up to six of them human, while Tan is computer-controlled only. There are no teams. The factions are Tower, Castle, Conflux, Rampart, Inferno, Necropolis, and Dungeon. According to the author, the story centers on a Chinese civil war in which several armies seek to liberate Taiwan while facing American and Japanese forces. Water covers nearly half the map, with grass making up much of the rest. The map holds 14 towns, 58 mines, 42 creature banks, 8 monoliths or portals, and the Grail. Victory requires capturing one specific town, and the game is lost if 140 days pass.
