Terranova — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Terranova is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, built for eight players with no teams and no computer-only seats, so all eight colors can be human. Rock covers the largest share of the terrain, followed by water and grass. Each player begins with a different town type, running from Castle and Tower through Inferno, Rampart, Fortress, Conflux, Dungeon and Necropolis. The win condition is to defeat all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing every town and hero. The surface is rich in content, with 24 towns, 77 mines, 12 creature banks and 21 randomly placed artifacts, along with nine monoliths and portals. Wandering Enchanters are especially common, and a timed event adds a mid-game twist. The difficulty is set to Expert.
