Swamp Thing as Fortress — RoE

Swamp Thing as Fortress is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, rated Hard, for three players with only one human seat. The Fortress is the player's side, while the computer controls the Inferno and the Tower, and the author's note suggests the computer's opening monster groups are weaker than those of its neighbors, while both enemy towns begin with a pair of capable heroes. Teams are not used. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about half the terrain and water roughly a third, with a small share of swamp. The map holds ten towns, wandering monsters including Angels, Gold Golems and a Black Dragon, and a Grail, along with 44 mines and fifteen named artifacts such as the Dragon Scale Shield and the Golden Bow.
