Struggle for the Inheritance is an extra large underground map for Restoration of Erathia, rated expert and measuring 144 by 144 tiles. According to the author's description, a king's death leaves an empire and heavy debts to four daughters and a son, with the inheritance going to the eldest son. The player backs one of the sisters in her bid for the throne. Six players are set up, with up to four controlled by humans, and the Tan and Purple players are computer-only. There are no teams. Five players field Castle and Purple fields Rampart. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly grass, rock, water and swamp, with 29 towns and 23 heroes placed. Notable features include 139 mines, 36 monoliths and portals, 27 random artifacts, and 19 timed events.
