Strait of Storms — Skirmish — HotA 1.3.0+

Strait of Storms is a two-player skirmish map set on a medium 72 by 72 surface level, with no underground. It is mostly water, roughly 60 percent, with the rest made of grass, and the two sides are separated by a strait that the author presents as strategically important. Each player starts with a random faction and a town, and the map has three heroes placed at the outset. Players are not assigned to teams, and both seats are for human players. Winning requires defeating every enemy, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone. The map scatters wandering monsters across the land, including Hobgoblins, Gnoll Marauders, Vampire Lords, and Efreets, along with eight mines, two seer huts, fourteen creature banks, and four monoliths and portals. Fifteen artifacts are placed on the map, among them the Dragon Scale Shield and the Quiet Eye of the Dragon.
