Spellbound — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Spellbound is a large underground-enabled map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, built for the Restoration of Erathia version of the game. Four players can take part, each controlling one of four factions: Dungeon, Tower, Necropolis and Rampart, with no teams and no computer-only colors. The landscape is mostly rock and grass, with sections of subterranean ground and lava, and very little water. The setting is a century after an earlier war between spellcasters, who return to fight over a new source of magic. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player is eliminated once they lose all towns and heroes. The map holds fifteen towns, many mines, five creature banks, forty monoliths and portals, and wandering stacks of Vampire Lords, Arch Mages and Titans, along with two endless gold artifacts.
