Sell Sword is a large underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, measuring 108 by 108 tiles and set across two levels. Seven colors take part, five of them open to human players, and the other two, Tan and Purple, are controlled by the computer. The difficulty is set to Impossible, and there are no teams, so every player fights for themselves. Six colors play Necropolis and Tan plays Rampart. The author's description casts the player as a mercenary hired by necromancers who want control of the Mist Mountains. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once every town and hero is gone. The map holds 15 towns and 56 mines, along with five creature banks and wandering stacks of Minotaur Kings, Medusas, Beholders and others. Several artifacts are placed on the map, including the Boots of Speed and the Golden Bow.
