Seafarers is an extra large 144 by 144 map with an underground level, built around sea travel: water covers about two thirds of the surface, with grass making up most of the remaining land. It is set for eight players, though only four seats can be human, and the other four are computer-only colors. Players form five teams, and the factions range from Castle and Tower to Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon, Conflux, and others. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The map is rich in content, with 48 towns, 28 heroes, 98 mines, and 150 creature banks. Wandering sea creatures such as Fangarms, Seamen, and Sea Dogs roam the waters, and the Grail is placed somewhere on the map.
