Ruler of the World is an extra-large 144x144 map for Restoration of Erathia, played on an underground level at Normal difficulty. It supports up to eight players, but only one can be human, with the other seven colors computer-controlled. There are no teams. Red starts with Castle and Tower towns, Pink with Tower, and the remaining colors get random factions. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about 47 percent of the surface, water about 27 percent, and snow about 6 percent. The map holds 22 towns, 18 starting heroes, 118 mines, and a Grail. Wandering monsters are plentiful, with Wraiths the most common, and placed artifacts include Angel Wings, Boots of Speed, and Crown of the Supreme Magi. The author describes it as a modern world map built around a struggle for global dominance.
