Ruler is an extra large underground map for Shadow of Death, set at Impossible difficulty on a 144 by 144 grid. Seven players take part, with at most one human, and there are no teams. Red holds seven factions, while Blue, Tan, Green, Orange, Purple and Pink each start with one or more of their own. Rock covers about half the map, water a quarter and grass a tenth. Players will find 46 towns, 118 mines, 44 creature banks and the Grail, along with wandering Rust Dragons and Vampire Lords and placed artifacts such as Armageddon's Blade. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and losing every town and hero ends the game.
