Rhapsody — RoE

Rhapsody is a medium two-player map of 72 by 72 tiles with an underground level, rated Hard. It is designed as a closed, well-balanced duel for two human players, with no computer-only colors and no teams. Both sides start with random factions, and the victory condition is to defeat all enemies, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The landscape is mostly rock, with about a third of the tiles given to water, plus dirt and subterranean ground. Four towns, twelve placed heroes, and a large number of external dwellings support the fight, which includes wandering stacks of Dread Knights, a Ghost Dragon, and Behemoths. The map also holds several named artifacts, eighteen random artifacts, fourteen mines, ten creature banks, and eight monoliths and portals.
