Retour au Paradis is a medium underground map of 72 by 72 tiles for Shadow of Death, rated Expert. Its premise follows Satan, who has spent centuries setting much of his kingdom ablaze and now wants to see his hometown of Paradise again. One human player can take the Inferno side against a computer-controlled Tower opponent in Blue, with no teams. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and losing a particular hero ends the game. About a third of the terrain is water, with lava and grass covering much of the rest. The map includes five towns, seven heroes, thirteen mines, and the Grail, along with several artifacts such as the Sword of Judgement and wandering monsters including Arch Devils and Storm Elementals.
