Relentless Assault — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Relentless Assault is a hard, medium-sized underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade, covering 72 by 72 tiles on two levels. Four players take part, split into three teams, with up to two of them controlled by humans; the other two colors are computer-only. The factions in play are Fortress, Dungeon, Tower, and a mixed Dungeon and Fortress force. The author's pitch is that wizards and the undead have allied against everyone else, and that the upper and lower kingdoms must be united to stand against them. Victory means defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Terrain is mostly grass, dirt, swamp, and rock, with about 8 percent water. Notable features include 12 towns, 77 mines, seven creature banks, four seer huts, three monoliths or portals, and nine placed artifacts.
