Power&Magic2 is an extra-large Shadow of Death map of 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level, set at Expert difficulty. Eight players share six teams, but only Red and Blue can be human, and each may choose any of seven factions. The other six colors are computer-controlled: Green plays Stronghold, Orange Tower, Teal Fortress, Pink Inferno, and Tan and Purple are random. Water covers about 53 percent of the terrain. The map holds 32 towns, 61 mines, 35 creature banks and several placed artifacts, plus wandering dragons, Titans and Arch Devils. Victory requires defeating all enemies. The author describes the first player as a warlock and the second as a warrior, and encourages players to return to the series.
