Oblation is a medium 72x72 map for eight players, with each player controlling one faction: Necropolis, Tower, Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Dungeon, Fortress, and Inferno. It has an underground level, no water, and no teams, so every side plays for itself. The win condition is to defeat all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The landscape is mostly swamp, sand, grass, and snow. Sixteen towns are placed across the map, along with 81 mines, 34 creature banks, and 3 seer huts. Wandering monsters are scattered in 128 random stacks, and the map also contains placed artifacts such as the Clover of Fortune, the Emblem of Cognizance, and the Glyph of Gallantry, plus the Grail.
