Nirvana is a medium 72 by 72 underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, with an underground level in play. Four players compete on their own, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so all four seats can be human. Each player starts with a random faction, and the difficulty is set to Impossible. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly grass and subterranean ground, with some rock and no water. Eight towns are scattered across the map, guarded by wandering Angels, a few Crystal Dragons, an Archangel and an Azure Dragon. The map also holds many artifacts, including Armageddon's Blade, Cape of Velocity and Crown of the Supreme Magi, along with mines, seer huts, creature banks and monoliths.
