New Dragons is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles, rated hard, that follows a set of conflicts among warriors living near a dragon gorge said to be a source of power. Four players each control a faction mix, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so all four seats can be human. Terrain is mostly sand, grass and snow, with a sliver of water. Red, Tan, Green and Purple field combinations of Castle, Tower, Conflux, Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon, Rampart and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 14 towns and 10 starting heroes, with wandering dragons, archangels and phoenixes roaming the land. Notable placements include Ammo Cart, Ballista, Boots of Speed and Dragon Scale Armor, along with 66 mines and 42 creature banks.
