Nedrog is an extra-large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles for seven players, with four human slots and three computer-only colors. The author describes a world turned wrong, where the god Torak, a child of darkness, sends armies against the child of light, and the player must seek out and destroy him. Players are split into two teams. Factions include Castle, Tower, Inferno, Necropolis, Rampart and one random side. Rock covers nearly half the map and water about a quarter, with grass making up much of the rest. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and losing that hero ends the game. The map holds 17 towns, 15 heroes, 66 mines and the Grail, with wandering monsters and artifacts such as the Crown of the Supreme Magi scattered across it.
