Might & Magic VIII DtD — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Might & Magic VIII DtD is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level, set at Normal difficulty. Eight players share it, with up to two human players and six computer-only colors, and there are no teams. Castle is the faction for three players, Rampart for two, and Necropolis, Inferno, and Dungeon cover the remaining three. The map's stated aim is to take down the Destroyer, so victory requires defeating one specific hero, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers nearly half the land, with grass and water making up much of the rest. The map holds 12 towns, 14 heroes, 63 mines, and the Grail, along with wandering Black and Ghost Dragons and artifacts such as the Crown of the Supreme Magi.
