Might & Magic 7 is an extra-large map of 144 by 144 tiles, playable with an underground level, and set in the restored land of Erathia. It is rated easy and supports eight players, seven of them human, with the pink player controlled only by the computer and no fixed teams. Factions range across the Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Fortress, Tower, Necropolis, Dungeon and Inferno, with the red player receiving a random faction. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Water covers about a third of the land, with rock and grass making up most of the rest. The map holds sixteen towns, a Grail, 106 mines and 16 monoliths or portals, along with a number of placed artifacts and many wandering monster stacks, including Wraiths and Gold Golems.
