Red plays Tower, Blue plays Inferno, Green plays Rampart, and Tan plays Necropolis. The author's story follows a hero whose father has died, who suspects a brother of the killing, and who competes with three siblings for a throne while seeking a sage who can answer any question, with help from a fish named Fesh. Victory requires acquiring a specific artifact, and losing a particular hero ends the game. The terrain is mostly rough and grass, with patches of lava and snow and about six percent water. The map holds 16 towns, 121 mines, 18 monoliths and portals, and 12 creature banks, along with roaming elementals and black dragons.
