Middle-Earth - Средиземье. — SoD

Written from the facts in this map's file

Middle-Earth is an extra-large underground map for eight players, each playing a different faction, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so all eight seats can be human. Set on a 144 by 144 tile grid with a Hard difficulty rating, it is built around a rocky landscape, where rock covers nearly half the surface, and water, snow and grass make up the rest. The author drew inspiration from Tolkien's works and took some liberties with the geography. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once every town and hero is gone. Across the map sit 25 towns, 97 mines and 18 creature banks, along with wandering troll, wraith and minotaur king stacks, several dwellings, and fifteen or so artifacts, plus a few seer huts and timed events.
