{~Metataxer's Revenge~} — SoD

"Metataxer's Revenge" is an Expert-difficulty Shadow of Death map on an extra large 144x144 board with an underground level. Eight players share the map, but only one can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled. The two teams have random factions. Water covers about 28 percent of the terrain, with rock, snow, and lava making up most of the rest. The map has 48 towns, 46 seer huts, 190 quest guards, 15 mines, 56 monoliths and portals, and the Grail. Phoenixes are the most common wandering stacks, and Titans also appear. Victory requires defeating one specific monster rather than using standard conditions, and a player loses when they have no towns and no heroes left. The author's note evokes a famous poem about a ruler's crumbling monument.
