Blazing Archipelago is a large map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, with an underground level. Up to four human players can take part, each with a random faction, and no teams are set. The islands are harsh, with blistering heat, scarce resources, and constant danger from sea creatures, yet they still draw adventurers. Rock covers 48 percent of the terrain, water 39 percent, and sand 12 percent. Expert difficulty applies. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include four towns, wandering Fire Elemental, Mummy, Cyclops King, Cyclops and Water Elemental stacks, and artifacts such as the Crown of the Five Seas, the Trident of Dominion and the Runes of Imminency.
