Striving for Victory is a medium 72 by 72 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: In the Wake of Gods, with an underground level alongside the surface. Six players take part, four of them human at most, while the Tan Fortress and Purple Tower players are computer-controlled. There are no teams, and the other four colors start with random factions. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about a third of the terrain and water nearly a quarter. The map holds 17 towns, 224 random monster stacks, 85 mines, and the Grail, along with artifacts such as the Helm of the Alabaster Unicorn and the Endless Sack of Gold. It is rated Normal difficulty.
