Between Magic and Strength is an Extra Large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles, rated Impossible, for In the Wake of Gods. Eight colors are present, with up to six controlled by humans and the Tan and Teal colors left to the computer, who play Stronghold and Tower. The other factions are random, and there are no fixed teams. The description says six local lords contest a continent and a central island while the real opponents wait on a separate landmass. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers 46 percent of the terrain and water 28 percent. Notable finds include 25 towns, 76 mines, 31 creature banks, and artifacts such as Titan's Thunder and the Angelic Alliance.
