"Hold Out Until the End" is a small 36 by 36 underground map at Impossible difficulty for two players, with only one human seat. The Rampart player faces a computer-controlled Necropolis opponent in the Tan colors. That opponent has overrun the southern part of the map and is expected to advance toward the human side. Water, grass, lava, and rock make up roughly equal shares of the terrain. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable finds include the Endless Purse of Gold, the Ring of Infinite Gems, and the Necklace of Ocean Guidance, and a Ghost Dragon roams as a wandering stack. The map has five towns, fourteen mines, and seven quest guards. No teams are set.
