"Stench of Decay" is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles about evil that has seeped up into a peaceful land. Four brothers disagree and now fight one another, which suits the lords below. Six colors are in play, five open to humans and Purple left to the computer, with no teams. The factions are Tower, Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Dungeon, and Necropolis. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The terrain is mostly rock, grass, rough ground, and sand, with almost no water. Highlights include the Grail, 88 mines, 42 creature banks, and artifacts such as the Hourglass of the Evil Hour.
