War for Peace is a medium underground map of 72 by 72 tiles for three players, with only one human seat while the two other colors are computer-controlled. The backstory describes failed negotiations that pushed necromancers and mages into an alliance, followed by destructive conquests of weaker realms. When a Paladin order demanded the lost lands back and was refused, a war became unavoidable. Necropolis, Tower and Castle face off across two teams at Expert difficulty. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a side loses by losing every town and hero. Rock and rough ground cover much of the terrain, with water and grass taking a substantial share of the rest. The map holds the Grail, three named artifacts, 28 mines, 15 creature banks, eight monoliths or portals, and 11 green dragon stacks roaming the land.
