Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
This map, whose title translates to Lord of the Rings, is based on the Tolkien novel and asks the player to defend the smaller peoples of Middle-earth. Teal plays the hobbits of the Shire, pink the elves of the twilight lands, and purple the pirates of Umbar. It is a large 108 by 108 map with an underground level, rated hard, for eight players, up to three of whom can be human, arranged in four teams. Factions in play include Rampart, Castle, Tower, Necropolis, Stronghold and Conflux. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and losing all towns and heroes ends the game. Expect 14 towns, 62 mines, six creature banks and 16 timed events, with the Grail among the placed artifacts.
