Eternal Battle (the best map) is a small 36x36 two-player Heroes of Might and Magic III scenario for In the Wake of Gods, with an underground level included. Set on mostly snow and grass with a sliver of water, it plays at Normal difficulty and supports two human players, one on each side, with no teams. The Red player fields a Rampart town and the Blue player a Castle. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds four towns and three pre-placed heroes, with wandering Sprites and Corsairs being the most common roaming stacks. Among the placed artifacts are the Grail, the Crown of the Supreme Magi, and the Elixir of Life, and the map also contains sixteen mines, five creature banks and seven monoliths or portals.
