Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
In the Battle for the Faith is an Extra Large underground map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, made for In the Wake of Gods and rated Hard. Six players take part, with up to four human seats, while Red and Purple are computer-only. There are no teams. Blue plays Tower, Red Inferno, Green Fortress, Orange Rampart, Purple Dungeon, and Pink Necropolis. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Rock, water, subterranean, and rough terrain cover most of the land. The map holds 32 towns, 83 creature banks, 75 mines, and 302 random artifacts, and the Grail is placed on it. Ten named artifacts, including Armageddon's Blade, are also set in specific spots. The author's note presents eliminating every rival as the route to universal dominion.
