Age of the Neutrals is a medium 72 by 72 map for In the Wake of Gods, set on normal difficulty with an underground level. Eight colors take part, with up to six human players and no teams. Six colors play Stronghold, Tan plays Conflux, and Orange plays Inferno, and Tan and Orange are computer-only. The terrain is mostly rock and rough ground with almost no water. Wandering stacks include Black Dragons, Trolls and Enchanters, and the map places Boots of Speed and a Pendant of Reflection along with 56 random artifacts. Victory requires capturing one specific town, and the game is lost if time runs out after 336 days. The author's note is a playful, boastful blurb that encourages attacking rivals while claiming that defeating them is practically impossible.
