The Continent of the Overlord is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level. It is set at Impossible difficulty for eight players, seven of whom can be human, and the Tan player is computer-controlled only. No teams are set. The Red, Orange, and Tan players fight alongside the Castle, Necropolis, and Fortress, while the other five start as Dungeon, Rampart, Inferno, Tower, and Stronghold. Rock covers about 37 percent of the land, with grass, dirt, and water making up most of the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Hero level is capped at 25. The map holds 48 towns, 50 placed heroes, the Grail, and placed artifacts such as the Titan's Gladius and the Cape of Velocity. Ice Elementals are the most common wandering stacks.
