This Expert-level map, known in Chinese as Shadow of Death (Final Edition), covers an extra large 144 by 144 field with an underground level. Eight colors take part, with up to three human players and five computer-only colors, and there are no teams. The backstory follows necromancers who retreat to their homeland after being driven out, only to find it divided among rival factions. Starting factions include Necropolis, Rampart, Dungeon, Stronghold, and Tower, plus three mixed-faction starts. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The terrain is mostly rock, swamp, rough and grass, with little water. Highlights include 31 towns, wandering Dread Knights and Chaos Hydras, and the Crown of the Supreme Magi.
